Football fans and non-football fans alike were tuned in for the Super Bowl on Sunday, and the Disney fans among them can agree that the sneak peek for ‘Toy Story 4’ was a great break from all the football action!
‘Toy Story 3’ premiered in 2010 and seemed to perfectly tie up the loose ends of the franchise, giving our favorite gang of toys a send-off that left most fans in tears. Myself included! But, it would seem there is more playing to be done with these characters!
Disney and Pixar released the sneak peek for ‘Toy Story 4’ during the game, and fans were able to get a glimpse of several of the original characters and a few new ones!
‘Toy Story 4’ was directed by Josh Cooley, and features the vocal talents of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Estelle Harris, Annie Potts, Joan Cusack, Blake Clark, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Jodi Benson, Michael Keaton, Jeff Pidgeon, Kristen Schaal, Bonnie Hunt, Timothy Dalton, Jeff Garlin, Laurie Metcalf, Lori Alan, Keanu Reeves, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, and Patricia Arquette.
‘Toy Story 4’ opens in theaters on June 21. Check out the sneak peek from Super Bowl Sunday below!
“Woody has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky, declares himself as ‘trash’ and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep. After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.”
