Chris Hemsworth’s Agent H might not be Thor and Tessa Thompson’s Agent M may not be Valkyrie but the two look just as ready for action in these new ‘Men in Black: International‘ photos as their counterparts would! The new issue of Entertainment Weekly has the pair spotlighted on their cover as you can see here and some fun new shots of them below! The new film won’t feature Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones’s characters from the original trilogy, but Emma Thompson’s Agent O is back to make this a soft reboot and still have the new story set in continuity.
Included with these new images are a few descriptions which drop hints at what the plot could be about. One of the more interesting ones is that the main villains our agents could have to go up against may not be aliens but Agents within the agency who have changed their allegiance!
First up we have a shot of the two leading agents riding into action:
Next up we see them investigating what looks to be some sort of a crash in the Sahara. We also learn that Thompson’s character actually encountered the MIB as a child and spent 20-years of her life trying to track down the agency. When she finally did, they recruited her into their ranks!
We’ll learn that Agent H is one of the most highly decorated Agents who have ever worked for the Men in Black, however, he seems to have fallen on hard times.
We’re unsure what Liam Neeson’s High T. will be up to outside of being the head of the MIB’s London bureau. It is Neeson, though, so we can at least hope he gets an action sequence thrown into the mix.
Agent O probably isn’t the only character who will connect this film to the original trilogy but will likely be the most notable one unless Jones or Smith have a surprise cameo popping up.
We’ve also got a behind-the-scenes shot with F. Gary Gray who shares, “We went into the project knowing the deep affection we and the fans have for Will [Smith] and Tommy [Lee Jones]. We’re not replacing them, simply adding to their team.”
Finally, we have two renderings from the film’s production team which give us a hint at what some of the final scenes in the movie may look like!
