This week’s episode of The Orville, entitled ‘Home,’ is the third episode of the show’s second season (by production codes, this is actually designed to be the second episode of the season, but last week’s ‘Primal Urges’ was held over from the first season and inserted here in Season 2).
The short-and-sweet official description, straight from Fox, reads thusly:
Ed, Gordon and Alara visit Alara’s home planet of Xelayah in the all-new “Home” episode of THE ORVILLE.
Take a peek at the six production photos provided by the network below. Of note:
Fox appears to have misspelled the name of Alara’s homeworld, Xeleya, in their official description – oops! Mistakes happen.
The guest-star parade continues this episode, as that is indeed Patrick Warburton under the heavy latex of the alien-elephant looking fellow.
What’s up with Ed wearing a fully-contained spacesuit? Malloy is right behind him, exposed and appearing to breathe normally, so why is Ed all sci-fi gussied up?
And in that same photo: what’s up with Malloy’s pants? Gone are the standard-issue Planetary Union all-black slacks, replaced with this rather Zumba-looking number.
‘Home’ was written by Cherry Chevapravatdumrong and directed by Jon Cassar.
