Captain Marvel

Two pages from the upcoming ‘Marvel Studios Character Encyclopedia’ have surfaced depicting Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers as portrayed by Brie Larson in the upcoming ‘Captain Marvel’ film and Talos, the Skrull leader portrayed by Ben Mendelsohn.  The new reference book doesn’t spoil anything about the film’s plot that hasn’t already been revealed in the trailers or that comic readers may already know.  But they offer interesting bite-sized tidbits and nice full-color photos from the film.  (Note: This book is written for 4-8 year-olds.)

You can check out the two pages below:

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

Larson’s Carol Danvers will make her debut in ‘Captain Marvel’ on March 8, 2019 before joining the rest of the Marvel Universe in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ on April 26, 2018.  It has been heavily hinted that Captain Marvel may become the focal character of the Marvel Universe going forward.

‘Captain Marvel’, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Jude Law as Yon-Rogg (rumored), Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Gemma Chan and Minn-Erva, Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Samuel L. Jackson as Agent Nick Fury, Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau, and Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, and arrives in theaters on March 8, 2019.
