M. Night Shyamalan Glass

Life tends to be a popularity contest where everyone wants to get chosen for something but the latest trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Glass‘ has one activity you won’t want to get picked for!

The trailer has some familiar footage, but one area that sticks out is with James McAvoy’s Kevin Wendell Crumb as he tries to recruit new followers for his Horde persona. Starting a cult is never easy and forcing your members into following you the way that Crumb is doing might not be the best long-term strategy. It is effective at finding recruits that will be committed right off the bat at the very least, well those who will blindly follow out of fear that is.

While there was a lot of recycled footage, you can’t help but love how that recruitment pitch goes!

It isn’t clear if the third installment to Shyamalan dark superhero series is an endcap to a trilogy or will be another installment to an ongoing series, but either way I suspect that he’ll be delivering a solid story just as he did with ‘Unbreakable’ and ‘Split.’ While we know the director’s gimmick is to put twists in his films, these have all done a fantastic job at solidly delivering a surprise for audiences, and I’m looking forward to seeing what this one will be.

Following the conclusion of ‘Split,’ ‘Glass’ finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

‘Glass’ will break into your local theaters on January 18th, 2019!
