Sony Reveals Photos And Official Name Of Noir Costume In Spider-Man: Far From Home

With all the talk about ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ at the moment, fans have not forgotten that Tom Holland’s version of Spidey currently in the MCU (or rather, blowing through the wind as dust in the MCU) has a film coming out in 2019 as well. And that film has a lot of folks excited for the live-action debuts of not only fan-favorite villain Mysterio, but also of a version of the Spider-Man Noir costume, which, oddly enough, is also in ‘Into the Spider-Verse.’ Recently, a post to Instagram has come out that features a really good look at the MCU’s version of the costume, as well as the official name of the costume, as they are calling it the “Uniform Stealth,” which you can check out below:

As the photo reveals, the costume is not exactly the Noir costume from the comics, but it definitely pays homage to its comics roots. It features no official Spidey emblem as the main costume does, though it does have a round patch area near the right shoulder that could hold an emblem in the movie, though my money says the film will most likely put a SHIELD emblem there, as this seems like the kind of tech they would develop. The headpiece looks like just a regular knit cap with the eye holes cut out, with special goggles placed over the eyes that one would assume work similarly to the eyepieces in Spidey’s Stark suit, giving him a tactical readout of the situation. And over his torso is what looks to be somewhat heavy armor, an upgrade from his regular outfit which does not look armored (though we don’t really know what Stark built into the original suit).

No one is quite sure why Spidey would don this suit in the new movie, though popular theories include one that says his suit might be damaged in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ so he needs a new one (and cannot ask Tony Stark for help because Peter is…far from home), or that he has found himself in a situation where he does not want to call attention to the fact that Spider-Man is present. Either way, it is exciting to see that costume is going to be present in the film.

What do you think of the Uniform Stealth? Do you have any theories on why/ how it is going to be used in the film? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!
