While we’ve known that the ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ would miss this year’s big “Arrowverse” crossover, it wasn’t until the midseason finale trailer was released that we know exactly why they would be too busy to help save the multiverse in the “Elseworlds” event. With the largest part of the crossover already taken place in last week’s ‘Supergirl‘ post-credit scene, fans have still wondered why the future Legends wouldn’t be showing up for the party. To say that they have their hands full at the moment is an understatement!

While Supergirl, Green Arrow, The Flash, and the rest of their friends are going to be busy trying to save The Multiverse from The Monitor, it seels like the Legends are going to be trying to save reality as we know it after they ended up breaking it. Thanks to Constantine, everything is falling apart, and there isn’t going to be much time for the team to fix it.
I’m sure no one out there appreciates that John is the cause of this mess after how much he was harassing the rest of the ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ for messing with the timeline last season. While Constantine, Charlie, and Zari are busy working on this issue, we see that the rest of the Legends stuck in the 19th century with a fun little problem of their own which doesn’t get resolved as they thought it had.
