Spider-Man: Far From Home' Isn't Looking To Make The Sinister Six Happen

With multiple new villains being introduced in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home,‘ some fans might wonder if Marvel Studios is hoping to succeed where Sony has failed for years and introduce audiences to The Sinister Six. While we saw The Vulture introduced in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and Mysterio in the upcoming film, that is two of the key players. Nods to Scorpion, Prowler, and hints at Chameleon being introduced up the ante on the number of villains our Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will have to go up against in upcoming films.

While it would be fantastic to see Marvel Studios once again surpass Sony on the creative front, this is one plan that they aren’t currently working towards.

According to the film’s producer Eric Carroll:

“I don’t know some of these plans for what’s going forward. I do know that, obviously, getting someone like Jake to do a role like Beck is something we definitely think sets some really fun things up. But as to specifics, right now, I think everyone thinks we’re dodging these questions — and I especially don’t want to speak to Sony’s plans — but we kind of take these movies one at a time. If we have that right idea, I think that’s something audiences would love for sure. I do think it’s something people have been wanting for a long time. So, I can’t imagine it’s not somebody’s dream project? But it’s not something we’re specifically building to at the moment.”

So if you were hoping that these new faces could spur a future super villain team up against The Wallcrawler, I wouldn’t hold my breath quite yet.
