While we’ve already seen some shots of The Penguin on set for ‘Gotham‘, we have the first official promotional shots of both The Penguin and Bruce’s mentor and butler, Alfred Pennyworth. This isn’t the first character shot that Fox has released, as just the other day they gave us a look at Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle who will one day be known as the seductive catburglar Catwoman. I’m still not sold on the look they are going with for The Penguin, though I have to say that the initial details on the back story that they have crafted for him give us an easy in on how he may rise to power in the criminal underworld.

First up is a really good shot of Robin Lord Taylor as The Penguin:

Here’s what we know about the character so far in the series: “Oswald Cobblepot has the brains of a chess grandmaster and the morals of a jackal. A low-level psychopath for gangster Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), he hides his sadistic lust for power behind an exquisitely polite demeanor.”

Next is a first look of Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth!

In this series we know that young Bruce Wayne is “being raised by his unflappable butler, Alfred.” Not quite as many details as we have on The Penguin but it is a start.

What do you think of the looks of Alfred and The Penguin?

‘Gotham’ Synopsis:

Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker?

GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics super villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist,” “Rome”), GOTHAM follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.
