Viewers will get a return visit with the adjunct ‘Titans’ in the next episode of the DC Universe series.  In a flashback, fans will not only discover how Dawn Granger (Minka Kelly) met Hank Hall (Alan Ritchson) but will also get a glimpse of the original Hawk & Dove team, Hank and his brother Don (or “Donnie” as he seems to call him, portrayed by Elliot Knight).

Check out this glimpse of the next episode of ‘Titans’ below:

In the original comics, Hank and Don were brothers who gained powers from a mysterious voice.  They were created by Steve Ditko and Steve Skeates in 1968, during the Vietnam War/flower child conflict, but Don was killed off during 1985’s ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ and replaced shortly afterward with Dawn Granger.  Unlike on the TV show, Hank and Dawn were not romantically involved in the comics.

It appears that like in the comics, Dawn adopts the Dove identity after Don’s death, but his death looks to be a lot less dramatic than being vaporized by an antimatter shadow demon.  In fact, it seems as though Don’s death is the result of a random accident that is “nobody’s fault.”

Elliot Knight makes his ‘Titans’ debut after recently costarring on The CW drama ‘Life Sentence’ with Lucy Hale.  He also previously costarred on ‘American Gothic’ and ‘Once Upon A Time’.  He may also be remembered for playing Sinbad on the Syfy series ‘Sinbad’ in 2012.

‘Titans’ is nearing the end of its first season, although it has already been renewed for a second.  The next episode, appropriately entitled “Hank and Dawn” will become available to stream next week.  It is the ninth episode, leaving three more in this batch.

New episodes are released every Friday on the DC Universe streaming service.  How are you enjoying this series so far?
