When ‘Arrow‘ gave us an epic 100th episode it was easy to guess that ‘The Flash‘ would be racing to do the same and the synopsis for “What’s Past is Prologue” makes it sounds like they’ll be delivering. One fun takeaway is that the actor who plays Sherloque Wells, Tom Cavanagh, will be directing the episode! This will be the third episode which the actor will have directed for the series as he previously helmed “Elongated Journey Into Night” and “The Once and Future Flash” which were both released in 2017.

TOM CAVANAGH DIRECTS THE 100TH EPISODE — In the 100th episode, Barry (Grant Gustin) and
Team Flash come up with a plan to stop Cicada (Chris Klein). However, the plan calls for Barry and
Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) to travel back in time to gather some key necessities. However, Barry
hesitates, concerned about his daughter seeing certain parts of his life.
Meanwhile, Sherloque (Tom Cavanagh) takes his concerns about Nora to Iris (Candice Patton), and
Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) turns up a key asset in the fight against Cicada. Tom Cavanagh directed
the episode written by Todd Helbing & Lauren Certo.
This does make it sound like early reports of appearances by Reverse-Flash and Zoom are going to end up being true. We know that Flash’s daughter isn’t thrilled about her father disappearing in the future and it sounds like we’ll see his hesitation coming from this which might interfere with his ability at being a superhero. I’m sure it won’t help to have to face dangerous villains with his daughter at his side and trying to make sure she is safe as well.
