We’ve been learning a lot about ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ and the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to ‘Avengers: Infinity War — The Art of the Movie’ and now the book has quite an important area it is covering. Thanks to an almost footnote in the pages we learned how Thanos ended up surviving the fall of his homeworld Titan and set him on the path to destroy half of all life in the universe to make everything perfectly balanced.

We know from a flashback in the film that before Titan had been destroyed that Thanos had pitched his idea of fairly removing half the life of his homeworld to prevent the dwindling resources from wiping out his civilization. His plan had been shot down and eventually, Titan did fall but how did The Mad Titan survive the destruction of his species? Well, it seems that once he made his proposition known he was exiled from the planet. When Titan finally did fall into ruin, Thanos was not there to experience it first hand.
