If you’ve been wanting to stream the first season of ‘Final Space’ you’re going to need to sign onto VRV as the streaming service has obtained exclusive rights to the animated series. This animated series is the brainchild of Olan Rogers and has Conan O’Brien around as an executive producer. There are some great voice actors attached to the show which includes Rogers, Fred Armisen, Tom Kenny, David Tennant, Tika Sumpter, Steven Yeun, and Coty Galloway.
When talking about the deal, Rogers shares that:
“With ‘Final Space,’ we created a show that pairs genuine emotion and real stakes with comedy and premium animation, making it a perfect fit for VRV. We hope VRV’s community loves the series and catches up on all the action before season 2 premieres next year.”
VRV head of programming Gabriel VanHuss also added:
“‘Final Space’ is more than a sci-fi adventure, it’s a show about finding yourself and your tribe. The series is a powerful blend of the fantastic comedic elements that made us fall in love with animation and the emotional storytelling that moves us to care deeply about the characters. If you ever wanted to laugh, cry, and go on amazing adventures with your best friends – this show is for you.”
This animated series is meant to have the characters see real consequences to their actions which will give us a different ongoing narrative from many of the shows out there. A bonus is that Rogers wanted the space portions of the animation to look real and used photographs from NASA to create them.
The second season of the series is in production and will debut on TBS and VRV in 2019.
