Womanhood can’t be delayed, in this new clip from Netflix’s ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’.  In it, Kiernan Shipka‘s Sabrina Spellcraft asks her Aunts Hilda (Lucy Davis) and Zelda (Miranda Otto) is she can postpone her Sweet Sixteen, but this isn’t just a cake and presents affair.  For Sabrina, this marks the occasion when she must decide if she wants to continue her normal human life, with her normal human friends, including her boyfriend Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch), with whom she recently “took things to the next level.”  Or, will she turn her back on the mundane mortal world and embrace her heritage as a witch, like her aunts did.

Fans have been treated to a few glimpses in both photos and videos of Sabrina’s blood baptism, which may actually be a dream sequence.  We’ll have to wait and see.

After a long wait, fans will finally be able to view ‘Chilling of Adventures of Sabrina’ this Friday, when the entire first season– 10 episodes– become available to stream.  The show was created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also serves as showrunner.  He also created and serves as showrunner of ‘Riverdale’, so fans should expect a similar mature take on this classic “Teenage Witch.”

The cast also includes Richard Coyle as the sinister Father Blackwood; Abigail F. Cowen, Tati Gabrielle and Adeline Rudolph as Dorcas, Prudence, and Agatha, a trio of witches known as the Weird Sisters; Michelle Gomez as teacher Mary Wardell, who later becomes the dark Madam Satan; Chance Perdomo as Sabrina’s necromancer cousin Ambrose; Bronson Pinchot as principal George Hawthorne; Jaz Sinclair as Sabrina’s human BFF Rosalind Walker; Lachlan Watson as another human friend, farm girl Susie Putnam; Ty Wood as another classmate, Billy Marlin; with Gavin Leatherwood as warlock Nicholas Scratch.
