Wolverine

Marvel’s first scripted podcast ‘Wolverine: The Long Night‘ has gotten rave reviews so far and now the comic publisher is taking their audio drama to print. The comic book company has announced that Benjamin Percy will be writing the comic adaptation of the popular podcast which he also had penned. To visually bring this story to life, we’ll see art by Marcio Takara with a cover by Rafael Albuquerque. It was not revealed as to how many issues this story would fill.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the story, here’s the official synopsis:

Marvel’s “Wolverine: The Long Night” podcast followed Special Agents Sally Pierce and Tad Marshal — voiced by Celia Keenan-Bolger and Ato Essandoh — as they investigated a string of mysterious deaths in Burns, Alaska. The voice cast also included Scott Adsit, Bob Balaban, Zoe Chao, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, and Brian Stokes Mitchell — and Richard Armitage as Wolverine. The podcast is now available wherever you listen to podcasts!

This isn’t a Wolverine story set in the standard 616-universe, or any other known region of The Multiverse though is easily one which could have been inserted into various areas of Logan’s past. With the very nature of The Multiverse being so fluid it is easy just to assume that the story takes place on an alternate Earth.

While initially released exclusively to Stitcher, the podcast recently received a wide release for those who aren’t members of the premium streaming service.
