Wolverine: The Long Night

We’ve been dying to hear anything from Marvel and Stitcher’s ‘Wolverine: The Long Night’ ever since the pair let us know it was in development and today that can finally happen! This 10-episode podcast will be a weekly release starting on March 12th, 2018. It begins as a Stitcher Premium exclusive though will also be available with a wide-release to most audio services this Fall.

The focus of the preview is as much of getting hints at Richard Armitage‘s Logan as to those who have seen him. They make it clear very quickly why some suspect that he is a murderer and this sounds like a fantastic standalone story. Quite a refreshing take to put him back in his origins, so to speak, before all of his time spent with the X-Men. It is an era that is hard to visit these days, and at the very least it sounds like a thrilling way to do just that.

You can give the trailer a listen to right here!

Armitage doesn’t get to voice Wolverine right off the bat but what he does get to say sounds very in line with the loner take on the character before he evolves into the leader he currently is. This is the Wolverine that fans are likely going to want to hear about and I think it was a smart decision to keep him removed from anything that his future will bring. It gives the tale an air of mystery as we do know there is a murderer on the loose which might or might not be our future hero.
