Steven Ogg Snowpiercer

Steven Ogg (‘The Walking Dead’,’Westworld’) is one of the stars of TNT’s upcoming ‘Snowpiercer’ and has shared not only a few details of the series but also that we can expect to board it. This is the first time a date has been hinted at for the production. It isn’t coming from the network or showrunner but still as one of the lead actors, Ogg is a solid source of information.

He shared this detail at the Salt Lake City’s FanX convention where he was on a panel with Austin Amelio and Tom Payne. When he was asked about the series he shared that:

“Snowpiercer, based on the movie. It’s a TV show; it’s for TNT, Netflix around the world, June of next year.
Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connelly, amazing cast. And it looks incredible. We’re on the studio with these trains, and it’s exciting. I’m going back there on Tuesday, so I’m very happy.”

While the original movie is based on a graphic novel, it sounds like they’ll be leaning directly into Bong Joon-Ho’s 2013 film which starred Chris Evans. There are plenty of ideas to cover from the movie from class warfare to social injustice as the last of humanity makes a bitter stand against the cold which has enveloped the Earth.

While TNT will be airing the series in the United States and China, Netflix has picked up the international rights for the rest of the world. Joining Ogg on film will be Mickey Sumner, Susan Park, Benjamin Haigh, Sasha Frolova, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Alison Wright, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, and Lena Hall.

Are you looking forward to being able to check out ‘Snowpiercer’ in June of 2019? Do you think that it will be able to match the movie in quality? Share your thoughts below!
