Netflix’s hit anime-style adaptation of ‘Castlevania’ is set to return for a second season on October 26, just in time to binge before Halloween. To promote the premiere, the streaming service has released a new poster! Indeed, the battle against Dracula is escalating, with vampire slayer Trevor Belmont, Dacula’s son Alucard and magic-wielder Sypha Benaldes preparing to not only face the lord of vampires but his new helper Hector who joins the series in Season Two.
Check out the new poster below:
“Returning to Netflix for a second season, Castlevania, inspired by the classic video game
series is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced
Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula
Tepes himself. Trevor Belmont, the last survivor of his house, is no longer alone, and he and
his misfit comrades race to find a way to save humanity from extinction at the hands of the
grief-maddened Dracula and his sinister vampire war council.”
The first season was a solid hit for Netflix, although fans were disappointed that it only consisted of four episodes. That is due to the fact that it was originally a movie that was chopped up into four parts and turned into an episodic series. The new season will be longer with eight. That’s still pretty brief, but hopefully that means that these eight episodes will be worth every second and not drag and meander like certain other Netflix originals. (Looking at you, EVERY Marvel series.)
‘The Hobbit”s Richard Armitage provides the voice of Trevor Belmont, while, uh, ‘The Hobbit”s Graham McTavish voices Dracula. (McTavish may also be recognized from AMC’s ‘Preacher’.) Alucard’s voice is provided by James Callis (’12 Monkeys’) and Alejandra Reynoso (‘Winx Club’) voices Sypha Belnades.
Are you excited to get more episodes of ‘Castlevania’?
