Castlevania

Fans who dug the far too short first season of ‘Castlevania‘ have even more reason to be excited for the sophomore outing as Hector is joining the series! Executive producer Adi Shankar shared an image of Hector online in a way to confirm that this fan-favorite will be part of the cast.

Here is the image which Shankar shared:

For those unfamiliar with Hector, he was from the 2005 release of ‘Castlevania: Curse of Darkness’ and was a 3D game which Konami released on both the original X-Box and PlayStation 2. While not the strongest of games, Hector quickly became a character fans loved for various reasons.

Since the game was set three years after ‘Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse’ (which is what the Netflix series is based upon), it isn’t too much of a stretch to see him appear. Hector worked for Dracula though betrayed him during the events of “Dracula’s Curse,” and that is likely something we’ll see play out on screen here. If they stay true to the video games he will still be working for Dracula but his betrayal of the dark lord should soon be at hand.

I love that it looks that the series is delving further into the world of ‘Castlevania’ and opening up plot points which can be explored if the season continues for some time to come and even work past the plot of ‘Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse’ if they choose to go that route.

Are you looking forward to seeing Hector appear on Netflix’s ‘Castlevania’? Do you think that he’ll be prepared to betray his master or will that plotline develop over the course of the second season? Share your thoughts below!

Dracula and the world of ‘Castlevania’ will return to Netflix on October 26th, 2018!
