‘At First Light’ premiered at SXSW to rave reviews and now will be getting a wide release thanks to Gravitas Ventures. The company has picked up distribution rights for the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand markets and is slated to be released in both theaters as well as On Demand on September 28th, 2018.
The film was written and directed by Jason Stone (‘Van Helsing’,’Riverdale’) and stars Théodore Pellerin (‘Boost,’ ‘It’s Only the End of the World’) and (‘Insidious: The Last Key,’ ‘Jem and the Holograms’) in the two leading roles. They’ll have Scott playing Alex and Pellerin playing Sean. The two go on the run when Alex starts developing unnatural powers after having a close encounter with glowings balls of light.

The film follows a high school senior, Alex Lainey, who has an encounter with mysterious lights that appear over her small town. She soon develops dangerous, supernatural abilities and turns to her childhood friend Sean Terrel. The authorities target them, and a chase ensues as officials try to discover the truth behind Alex’s transformation.
