Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

A new still from ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse‘ has been released where we see Peter Parker’s take on Spider-Man getting ready for battle. Back in June, images from the film were released, and it looks like this is part of the showdown between Spidey and The Prowler who is slated to be the main villain of the film.

We know the movie is set to focus on Shameik Moore as Miles Morales but that a version of Peter Parker voiced by Jake Johnson would appear too. Of the pair teaming up, Johnson shares that:

“They see something special in each other that they don’t necessarily see in themselves. They don’t necessarily want to need each other, but then, in the end, they kind of need each other.”

This version of Peter seems to not be as on his game as the one in the 616-Universe, and it’ll be interesting to see how he and Morales work together. If The Prowler is indeed the leading villain, I would expect that we’ll see the fight hinted at above end up in his favor with Parker losing and Miles Morales having to come in and save the day.
