Nicolas Cage

We’ve all been pretty excited for the look of Sony’s upcoming ‘Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse‘ and now there is some new voice talent to go along with it as well! If this proves true, Nicolas Cage (‘Leaving Las Vegas’,’The Rock’) will be returning to the Marvel Universe in this animated feature to voice Spider-Man Noir! Having previously played ‘Ghost Rider‘ for Marvel, attempted to play Superman and just voiced him for ‘Teen Titans Go! To The Movies‘, and played Big Daddy in Kick-Ass,’ we all know that Cage is no stranger to comic films.

We learned that the character would be included due to a recent tweet which shared the leaked Funko lineup but this is the first time that we’ve had a hint at who could be voicing the character! The list of Funko Spider-Men from the movie can be seen here:

Cage will be joining a cast which includes the likes of Liev Schreiber, Mahershala Ali, Shameik Moore, and Hailee Steinfeld. I’m eager to see who else is going to be showing up when the full cast list is revealed!

For those who are unfamiliar with Spider-Man Noir, this is a Peter Parker who was around in a 1930s settings. While much of his overall character arc is the same, it is, of course, a period piece and the technology and themes that would be found in the 1930s are front and center in the book.
