We all know about the leaked image of the costume for the fifth season of The CW’s ‘The Flash‘ that didn’t thrill fans or the actor who portrays the character, and now we’ve got an official peek at it. The new shot comes directly from Grant Gustin himself who revealed the Season 5 portrait that will be used for promos. He stresses that this is the “First OFFICIAL look at Barry’s new threads for season 5.”
You can see it has a modified cowl that doesn’t have a chin strap and appears to be made of a softer fabric with a smaller emblem on his chest.
Check it out right here!
Honestly, I feel that the chin strap helps with not just any sort of protection or keeping the cowl in place but as a disguise as well. You don’t want every single supervillain out there having it any easier on figuring out who you are.
As for the behind-the-scenes photo which was making the rounds, Gustin wasn’t shy in expressing his opinion:
“Here’s the thing about this bulls–t photo leak — it’s a cool suit. It’s a terrible photo that I was unaware was being taken, much less being posted. Some things need work, and they will be worked on. We’ll get there.”
Do you love the new outlook for ‘The Flash’ which Grant Gustin revealed? Comparing it to the old one, which changes worked and which didn’t? Was removing the chin strap a plus for this look or did it look better with it? Share your thoughts below!
‘The Flash’ will be speeding back onto The CW for its fifth season on October 9th, 2018 at 8/7c
