“There was an idea…” Nick Fury’s famous words about forming of “The Avengers Initiative” were wisely used in the first promotion for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and could be used to describe all 20 of Marvel’s films in the past ten years which can now be seen during a special eight-day run. That’s right True Believers, Marvel Studios has teamed up with IMAX theaters for a 10th Anniversary Film Festival that will be running from August 30th to September 6th of this year.

When talking about the upcoming festival, President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige stated that:

“We knew we wanted to go big to celebrate 10 years of Marvel Studios, and you can’t get any bigger than IMAX. This is an incredible celebration for fans. They will be able to see all of Marvel Studios’ films back-to-back and really be immersed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

While IMAX missed the mark in screening the first episodes of Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ in this format, the event will likely have a slightly different reaction. Here’s how the studio is billing this massive event:

IMAX is the way fans can experience the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the fullest. Now, for the first time ever, all Marvel Studios’ films will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

For those who have missed seeing a film on the big screen or want to re-watch one again, this is the perfect opportunity to do just that! In fact, when the event starts on August 30th, you’ll be able to check out ‘Iron Man,’ ‘The Incredible Hulk,’ and ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ in their debut outing in an IMAX experience as these three movies weren’t initially released in the format.

The movies are slated to come out in their release order and will also have two themed days of “Origins” and “Team Ups” so you can pick which viewing times or types of films you prefer.

The trailer for the event can be seen right here and is narrated by some of your favorite actors from the franchise:
