On this, the day of lisping sci-fi fans’ greatest achievement (May the Fourth Be With You… you thee what I’m thaying here?), we here at SF.com have many a Star Wars-related news tidbit to share with you.  This year’s May 4th also holds the distinct honor of being the first “Star Wars Day” since ‘Star Wars, Episode VII: The Force Awakens’ was released to audiences last year.  As such, we have many new, shining faces of the franchise that can help us revel in this day of intergalactic goodness – and one of them, Daisy Ridley, features in a new “Force For Change” video alongside several aliens that will be making appearances in the next installment of the cinematic series.

Check out the video below; Ridley, who played Rey in ‘Episode VII,’ is on set for the new film – and we’re speaking about ‘Episode VIII’ here, not ‘Star Wars: Rogue One,’ a “Star Wars Story” film coming to us later this year – and chats with fans about the chance to win a trip to Skellig Michael, the uniquely tiny island on which the final scene of ‘Episode VII’ was shot.  Here it is for you:

Of all the potential Star Wars-related announcements that could be happening today, this one is fairly minor, of course, but it’s nice to see the actors diving in to participate in a good cause, and it’s always fun to see more alien races, even if they will likely be background ones.  Here’s the “official” description of the video, in case you’re interested:

Daisy Ridley (joined by a few friends) wishes fans a happy Star Wars Day and offers thanks for all the money raised through Star Wars: Force for Change. This marks your last chance to donate — and the chance to win a trip to Ireland and visit Skellig Michael, the iconic location of Rey’s fateful meeting with Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

‘Star Wars Episode VIII’ is currently scheduled to hit American theaters on December 15, 2017.
