Gal Gadot Ralph Breaks the Internet

Gal Gadot is mainly known for playing Wonder Woman, but she’s playing another kickass female champion and it will be a lot easier… she has joined the voice cast of ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ the sequel to Disney’s ‘Wreck-It Ralph’.  Gadot will portray Shank, a character in a gritty driving game called ‘Slaughter Race’.  The film opens on November 21st, but Gadot took to Instagram to share a look at her animated character.

Gadot said in a separate statement:

“Shank is amazing at driving cars and has this bad-girl vibe to her. But as the movie goes on you realize how fun, wise and warm she really is on the inside, which is what I like most about her.”

While the first ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ was firmly based in console games, the new film promises to open the door to the entire internet, with online games, apps, and emojis.  But the character Shank is a throwback to the video game roots of the first film and should be a comfort to any gamers who thought the sequel was going to delve more into those other areas.

We also know as part of the story, Vanellope (voiced by Sarah Silverman) encounters the Disney Princesses, voiced by the same performers who provide their film voices.  John C. Reilly, of course, returns as the main character, Ralph, while the film will also see the returns of Fix-It Felix Jr. (Jack McBrayer) and Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch).  Joining the cast are Taraji P. Henson, Peter Cullen, Anthony Daniels, Ed O’Neill and Alan Tudyk.

‘Ralph Wrecks the Internet’ arrives on November 21, 2018.
