Watchmen

Who watches Dylan Schombing (‘Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency,’ ‘Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce’), Adelynn Spoon, and Lily Rose Smith (‘The Vampire Diaries’)? Well, if you plan to check out Damon Lindelof’s ‘Watchmen’ on HBO the answer is you! These child actors have been tapped to join the production, and no details have been provided as to who they’ll be playing quite yet.

With how dark the world of ‘Watchmen’ is, I’m betting that these three will be kidnapped in an episode and one or a group of the new heroes are trying to save them.

We know that the series is “not adapting Watchmen” and will take place after the events from the comics, or movie if that is what you’re familiar with. They’ve stated that they aren’t “making a “sequel” either and that “This story will be set in the world its creators painstakingly built…but in the tradition of the work that inspired it, this new story must be original.” With that being said, we’ll still see a world where the superheroes are treated as outlaws and must work under cover of darkness to do good.

I’m curious to see how this plays out when we eventually to get to watch the series.

The trio of young actors is joining a cast which already includes Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Sara Vickers.

Do you think that these three young actors will play heroes, villains, or victims in HBO’s ‘Watchmen’? Will they be around for only a single episode or be part of a longer story arc? Could they be current characters or flashbacks to the childhood of one of the newer ones? Share your thoughts and Rorschach-level conspiracy theories below!
