Spider-Man: Far From Home

Some spoilery casting news and details about a couple of surprise cameos have surfaced for ‘Spider-Man: Far from Home.’ Entertainingly enough, this new leak wasn’t from Tom Holland for a change! As there is no knowledge at this time if Tony Stark will survive the events from ‘Avengers 4,’ if he doesn’t, the Webhead might have a couple of new people helping look out for him.

Thanks to an Instagram post by Numan Acar, it looks as if he has confirmed that he is working not only with Jake Gyllenhaal but both Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders as well.

With much of the Marvel Cinematic Universe set to return from being snapped away by Thanos in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ it should come as no surprise that Samuel L. Jackson would be back as Nick Fury or Cobie Smulders would return as Maria Hill. Fans of the comics should also instantly recognize how fitting it would be that these two would appear here.

In the Ultimate line of comics, which the Marvel Cinematic Universe is loosely based on, we know that S.H.I.E.L.D. ended up helping a young Spidey as he came to terms with his powers. We’ve seen a similar story going on in the pages of the Miles Morales version of the character in 616 proper, so the idea of whatever spy agency Nick Fury is running now helping out Peter Parker going forward isn’t that much of a stretch.

Are you looking forward to seeing how Peter Parker has Spider-Man going from an Avenger to working with spies? Do you feel that these two are the right choice to have help guide him going forward if Tony Stark is out of the picture? Share your thoughts below, True Believers!
