Deadpool is coming home. Again. And this time, there’s even more of him to go around.

Fox (or rather, Ryan Reynolds) has officially announced that the rumored extended cut of ‘Deadpool 2’ (which director David Leitch was said to be working on even as the film was opening in theaters) is coming. And soon.

Dubbed the  Super Duper $@%!#& Cut, the extended version of the film includes fifteen minutes of additional material. Among that material is a variety of additional jokes, extended and alternate takes. Though we don’t have all of the details yet, thanks to Cinema Blend we do know that the Super Duper $@%!#& Cut includes a montage of Deadpool’s suicide attempts and more material featuring Zazie Beetz’s scene-stealing take on Domino. There is also talk of an extended sequence in the X-Mansion, but again, details remain elusive at this time.

In addition to the extended cut, the home video release will include a number of deleted scenes, alternate takes, a gag reel, an audio commentary (for the theatrical cut only) and a plethora of featurettes, including ‘The Most Important X-Force Member’, ‘Chess With Omega Red’, ‘The Deadpool Prison Experiment’, ‘Deadpool’s Fun Sack 2’, ‘David Leitch Not Lynch: Directing ‘Deadpool 2”, and something called ‘Swole and Sexy’.

The world premiere of the Super Duper $@%!#& Cut of ‘Deadpool 2’ will take place, appropriately enough, during San Diego Comic Con, with a screening taking place at the Horton Grand theater on Saturday, July 21st. Those of us who aren’t lucky enough to attend the convention will be able to check out the new extended cut when ‘Deadpool 2’ arrives on home video. The film is set for release on digital formats on August 7, 2018, with Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K disc releases due to follow two weeks later on August  21, 2018.
