Sophie Turner Game Of Thrones

While we still may be light on ‘Game of Thrones’ news as the creative forces behind the HBO hit are busy working on the final season (mostly in post-production now, I believe) so it is ready to premiere in 2019. Luckily for the fans, the cast still seems more than happy to talk about their experiences shooting the final season. The latest cast member to speak up is Sansa Stark herself, Sophie Turner, who had a lot to say about the end, and how she thinks the fans will be about as happy as she was by how it all concludes.

While speaking to Digital Spy recently, Turner stated that:

“…it really is so unpredictable the way that [the series] ends up…For me – without giving anything away, I guess – I was satisfied with how unpredictable the show’s ending really is…People have come up with so many fan theories about how it’s going to end, and who will end up where, and who will end up with who. It really is so unpredictable the way that it ends up. I’m very satisfied with that, and I think that the fans will be satisfied with that, too…Well, we hope. We’ll see!”

When asked about how close the ending would be to George R.R. Martin‘s final books (assuming those actually are released one day, which I know is a massive assumption at this point), Turner replied:

“From reading the books thus far, it was their interpretation of where they thought the show would go…They’re still doing justice to the story, and serving the characters in the way they feel like they should be…I mean, they definitely upped the ante [in the final episodes]. They’ve got nice, big battle scenes, that’s for sure.”

And when asked about her recent, infamous tattoo which got her into some trouble as fans assumed it was a massive spoiler about the end of the series, Turner said:

“That would be terrible, if I got the ending tattooed on my body, just before the last season came out. That would be so stupid.”

Could she be covering a mistake? Or not? I would just as soon not look into it in case it is a spoiler, but I do appreciate her words about the final season being positive without giving anything specific away. I really hope she is right because, after all these months of waiting, it would be terrible if the ending was a disappointment.
