Even though ‘Deadpool 2‘ has yet to be released it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that Zazie Beetz and Josh Brolin are already set to reprise their roles as Domino and Cable respectively in ‘X-Force.’ While many of Fox’s future projects concerning mutants might end up scrapped, anything spawning from ‘Deadpool‘ is moving full steam ahead and that includes ‘X-Force.’
Fox has put the upcoming film into pre-production already and from what we hear it will have “a Black Ops force of down and dirty mutant warriors who are far more ruthless than their X-Men counterparts.” Today’s news confirms that Beetz and Brolin will be joining Ryan Reynolds when he returns for a third outing as Wade Wilson in the film.
At this time there is no confirmation that we’ll be seeing the rest of ‘X-Force’ introduced in ‘Deadpool 2’ coming back such as Bedlam or Shatterstar, but we’d likely see at least another member or two returning. It should be noted though that ‘X-Force often had a rotating lineup so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see someone leave or join depending as to what the mission is.
It isn’t a surprise to see that these two would be coming back for the next outing. Cable and Deadpool have a long history in the comics and Domino has been more likely to be seen on ‘X-Force’ than any other mutant team. Having the three continuing to work together just makes sense.
Are you glad that we’ve got official confirmation as to the return of Zazie Beetz and Josh Brolin? Do you think the team will change at all between the release of ‘Deadpool 2’ and ‘X-Force’? Which member of ‘X-Force’ from the comics do you hope will join in the movie? Share your thoughts below, True Believers!
