Ant-Man And The Wasp

We’re still a bit in the dark of what to fully expect from ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp’ but have both new images to share with you and solid intel that Michelle Pfeiffer‘s Janet van Dyne is key to the story. Or, searching for her that is. Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne is fully being introduced as The Wasp in the upcoming film and Lilly shares that she feels “a lot of pressure to make sure that it is everything that the world wants it to be.”

Considering the original take on The Wasp was one of the founding members of The Avengers, there is pressure from die-hard fans to get it right. However, as much as this story is meant to introduce us to Lilly as The Wasp, the focus is to find Hope’s mother, and Hank’s wife, and retrieve her from the Quantum Realm where she has somehow survived all this time.

According to Lilly:

“Scott entered the Quantum Realm in the first film and came back, which is something they thought was impossible. The question has arisen, ‘Can Janet come back?’ So the entire film, my character is hell-bent on finding a way to get into the Quantum Realm and bring her back.”

I’m sure we’ll get an explanation on how time and life moves different there that will share how she has survived without eating for the extended period of time that she has been gone for.

While we will see our two heroes having to learn to work together and go up against a new villain (Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost), it seems that Janet van Dyne will be the focus of the film for our leading actors.

Which of the two new shots that we’ve included is your favorite for the film? Do you feel that the quest to bring Janet van Dyne out of the Quantum Realm will keep you glued to your seat throughout the film? Share your thoughts below, True Believers!
