When ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ started there was no way I thought it would get to 100 episodes and now it is one of the best comic adaptations on the small screen. Up until the big Hydra twist from ‘Captain America: Winter Soldier,’ I honestly felt that the show was going to be a bust and I wouldn’t finish off the first season. These days, I’m cursing The Olympics for causing a break in the season which was already delayed from ‘The Inhumans‘. So, when the 100th episode drops on March 9th, 2018 on ABC we’ve got high expectations and now new hints as to what we’ll be seeing as well as new stills from the episode!
Our team is returning to the present, and while they had a brief jaunt in the future, we learned that Coulson is dying. This likely has something to do with the deal which he made with the Spirit of Vengeance to stop AIDA or is entirely unrelated. What we do know is that Yo-Yo has stated that to save him, they’ll put into motion the very events which end the world.
Clark Gregg has previously stated that “Fans who hope that a 100th episode will contain something that will be a cataclysmic event or a gigantically resonate event for their feels after 100 episodes will not be disappointed” so we’ve got huge expectations! One exciting addition to the team this appears to be Jeff Ward’s Deke somehow not only survived the explosion that should have ended his life but also came to the present with them! We’ve got the reveal of this happening in the photo below:
Now that is a shocker! No heroic death here but it will be interesting to see our selfish anti-hero from the future somehow having escaped death, made his way to the portal, and came to the present with our heroes. With his primary goal preventing the future he believes Quake caused it should prove interesting to see not only how he adapts to the present but how he handles Daisy moving forward.
