If you love ‘The X-Files,’ you most likely can’t get enough of Gillian Anderson’s always stellar performances and today we have a video that shows the “Best Of Agent Scully” to share with you! When the show first premiered Scully was assigned to Fox “Spooky” Mulder to disprove his work and possibly even discredit him to the point of being taken off his cases. Things didn’t work out that way, and the pair ended up being the perfect team, friends, and even lovers as the series progressed.
With Season 11 getting ready to drop, many of the best moments of Scully were put together to enjoy. The focus on Scully isn’t just because Anderson is a fantastic actress, but more because she might not be returning for another go after this one. We don’t yet know if there will be a Season 12, but when asked at the New York Comic-Con 2017 if there would be more of Scully working with Mulder going forward she stated that “No, no, I think this will be it for me.”
Fans everywhere are still reeling from this possible revelation and hope that she changes her mind but if you wonder why she returned in the first place? “Because it felt like it wasn’t over. It didn’t feel like we necessarily delivered everything the fans were expecting of us last time, and so it was that.”
That sounds like we’ll be in for some big revelations and scenes in the eleventh season.

A slew of great moments. As for her being gone forever though?
She did leave things open for a potential return though when asked if she would miss playing Scully:
“I don’t know. You may need to talk to me in a few years about that once I finally shut the door. You know, there’s always been this ‘maybe one more’ thing hanging over, but when the door is finally shut, call me up and ask me that question again.”
So, hopefully, creator Chris Carter can sell her on another idea because I just can’t imagine the show continuing to be a hit without her. Every time they’ve been apart it just didn’t feel right.
