There has been a recent rumor spread around thanks to The Anon Journal that claims what happened to Luke Skywalker at the end of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘ was added in post-production and Mark Hamill didn’t know about it until he saw the film. It went on to express that it was from his early complaints about the direction Skywalker went during the film’s press tour.
Ridiculous is an understatement, yet it went far enough to reach Hamill himself who thought it was amusing enough to respond:
Amazing! Every word in that tweet is WRONG. No wonder they have ANON in their title. I’d want to remain anonymous if I were spewing complete BS, too. #Disney angered? Final scene a surprise to me? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! #WhattaLoadaSITH

What a load of Sith indeed! I mean with when Hamill was mentioning he wasn’t originally a fan of the direction of Skywalker to the film being released, that alone would have made this rumor unfounded.
In fact, he went on to iterate that Disney and Lucasfilm have had no complaints with anything he has said to date:
I’m really enjoying the conversations about #TheLastJedi both Pro AND Con. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion-but let me make one thing perfectly clear: Neither @Disney or #Lucasfilm has complained or told me what to say- EVER. #PeriodEndOfStory ❤️-mh

It is hard to tell if he is amused or frustrated that this is a rumor he even is taking the time to address. I suspect amusement though.
On an unrelated note, did anyone else read Mark’s response in The Joker’s voice with all of those HA HA HA’s? Did you feel that there was even an iota of truth to the entire end sequence of Luke being done in post-production without Mark Hamill having any idea as to what was going to happen?
