Week after week, we are BACK! That’s right, you know what day it is! And here we are with an all new Toy News Tuesday! We’re the one weekly column right here on ScienceFiction.com where we seek out all of the awesome news you need to know about any announcements and cool happenings in the toy industry and put them all in one easy to find place for you! There’s not much going on this week but that’s okay because the few things that are happening are all pretty damn cool! We’ve got new reveals from Diamond Select Toys, ThreeZero, Funko, Mattel, and more! There’s always something awesome to see in the Toy News for the week of August 15th, 2017!
DC Multiverse Grows By A Few
Mattel’s 6″ DC Multiverse line of figures is set to see a few new figures joining the line in the near future, even if their exact fate isn’t entirely clear yet! It’s been rumored for a while that some of these figures would end up being retailer exclusives, but due to recent postings on Walmart‘s website, the curtain appears to have been pulled back to reveal just where we’d be seeing them pop up! DC fans can look forward to new Batman (non-armored, as opposed to the wide-release armored version) and Armored Cyborg from the upcoming live action ‘Justice League’ adaptation! Additionally, it looks like we’ve discovered the fate of the Cassie Sandsmark ‘Wondergirl’ figure, which was also recently listed there! Unfortunately, there are no release dates attached to any of these listings just yet, so we don’t know when they will be hitting the shelves. That said, if they’re listed already now, it’s probably safe to say it’ll be soon! 
Noxious Retro Nostalgia Brings ‘The Toxic Crusaders’ Back!
In a movie that we don’t think anyone saw coming, the team at Super7 have posted a teaser image over on their Facebook page that tells fans they can look forward to new products based on ‘The Toxic Crusaders’! For those of you who somehow missed this one-season-long piece of animated 1990’s glory, ‘The Toxic Crusaders’ was a kid-friendly take on Troma’s ‘Toxic Avenger’ films that brought Toxie and his team of mutants on adventures fighting both alien invaders and global pollution!
Super7 recently released their own 3.75″ scale figure of Toxie himself in their ReAction line of retro style figures, so it’s great to hear we can look forward to new figures based on his animated cast of team mates like No-Zone, Junkyard, and Headbanger! We will keep you posted on more news on these products as it becomes available!
More Marvel Animated Minimates At Walgreens
Our good friends at Diamond Select Toys never seem to take a day off, because there always seems to be something new and amazing coming our way from them! This week they premiered the first look at a whole new wave of Walgreens exclusive Marvel Animated Minimates that we can look forward to hitting the shelves later this year! The wave is based on characters from Marvel’s hit animated series ‘Avengers Assemble’ and ‘Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors’!
This is the sixth series of Marvel Animated Minimates to hit Walgreens stores, being comprised of four Minimates figure 2-packs! Figure sets in this wave include The Abomination with The Vision and Black Bolt with Medusa from ‘Avengers Assembled’, as well as K’un Lun Armor Spider-Man with Iron First and White Tiger with Iron Patriot from ‘Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors’! These are due out before years end!

While we first saw a look at him a few weeks back at San Diego Comic Con 2017, the team at Hot Toys have finally released a bit more complete information on their upcoming 1:6th scale Grand Moff Tarkin figure from ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’! This new figure isn’t due out until next year, but now that we’ve got full release information it’s really hard not to get excited about him! Hot Toys new 1:6th scale Grand Moff Tarkin will be available as s single release and as a part of a new figure 2-pack with Darth Vader!
