Rumors have placed Lady Gaga returning for the upcoming seventh season of Ryan Murphy‘s ‘American Horror Story‘ but we’re taking an ax to that one. FX’s ongoing anthology series won’t see the singer and part-time actress back for the upcoming run though she hasn’t ruled out future appearances on the show. Rumors were running rampant over the weekend as a fan site furthered that she would be making an appearance according to an article in Vogue Magazine though that appears to have been wrong.
Unless it is all still keeping it secret that she will actually be playing the strange monster that Murphy had sketched and shared to his Instagram over the weekend. I would say not though:
Sure, she could absolutely pull that look off, but sadly it’ll be someone else in that costume. I’m sure fans of the artist could just as easily see her or some of her backup dancers in that getup for one of Gaga’s music videos though.
We still don’t know much about the season outside of it involving last year’s election cycle and that it will be starring Colton Haynes, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter, and Billy Eichner. Hopefully, we’ll be getting some more solid details soon but knowing Murphy’s track record that seems highly unlikely that we’ll even know the entire cast prior to the premiere. I’m growing curious to see how actual monsters are going to play into the story arc which almost sounded to be somewhat political in nature.
I’m sure there is a tongue in cheek joke to be made there.
Are you sad to see that Lady Gaga won’t be making an appearance on this season of ‘American Horror Story’? Could this all be a fake out and we’ll actually see her return? Share your thoughts below!
