gen:LOCK

Fans of Rooster Teeth rejoice! The latest series from the folks that brought you ‘Red vs. Blue’ is coming this January, and it has a stellar voice cast!

In the new clip,  you should be able to pick out most of the stars even without revealing the names as they are some pretty major actors and actresses in film and television right now, but in case you cannot, here is a list of most of the major players:   Michael B. Jordan (‘Black Panther’) as Julian Chase the star of the show, Maisie Williams (‘Game of Thrones’) as Cammie MacCloud, Kōichi Yamadera (‘Cowboy Bebop’) as Kazu Iida, a new recruit from the Japanese military, Dakota Fanning (‘The Alienist’) as Miranda Worth, mechanic and Chase’s love interest, Golshifteh Farahani as Yasamin “Yaz” Madrani, Asia Kate Dillon as Valentina “Val” Romanyszyn, Blaine Gibson (Nerf in ‘Camp Camp’) as Sinclair and David Tennant (‘Dr. Who,’ ‘Jessica Jones,’ ‘Ducktales’) as Dr. Rufus Weller, a.k.a. Doc, head scientist and inventor of the gen:LOCK technology. Also in the cast are Lindsay Jones (Ruby Rose in ‘RWBY’) as Razzle, Chase’s squadron leader, Miles Luna (Jaune Arc in ‘RWBY’) as Miguel, Chase’s best friend, and Chad James (Boomstick in ‘Death Battle’) as Jodie, close friend to Miranda.

The clip itself is pretty introductory, showcasing the quirkiness of Doc and beginning to reveal to the new recruits (and the audience) what they have gotten themselves into by joining the gen:LOCK experience. The have already undergone a lot of the required testing, but Doc promises one more test before they are officially allowed to stay and join the program. We also meet Chase, who does not say much in the clip, but seems to be the more welcoming member of the group meeting the new recruits, who offers them a few kind words before they are escorted in for their final test.

The clip ends with a brief trailer showing off some of the action of the series, and it all looks pretty exciting, well in line with the kind of style one would expect to see from Rooster Teeth.
