Jurassic World T. Rex

After the smash success of 2015’s ‘Jurassic World‘, a sequel was a given. Once that became clear, the next obvious question was which familiar faces, if any, would return for that sequel. In short order, we learned that Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and even B.D. would all be reprising their roles. Now, thanks to producer and ‘Jurassic World’ director Colin Trevorrow, we can add a genuine fan favorite to that list.

Responding to a fan question on Twitter, Trevorrow confirmed that Rexy would once again return to the big screen for an appearance in ‘Jurrassic World 2’. Rexy, for those who might not know, is the nickname fans have bestowed upon the T. Rex featured in both ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Jurassic World’.

Speaking about Rexy’s return in advance of the release of ‘Jurassic World’, Trevorrow had this to say regarding the iconic dinosaur’s return:

“The T. Rex that’s in the film is the T.Rex from the original ‘Jurassic Park’ and she is 22 years older. But, she’s not limping around… We took the original design and obviously, technology has changed. So, it’s going to move a little big differently, but it’ll move differently because it’s older. And we’re giving her some scars and tightening her skin. So, she has that feeling of, like, and older Burt Lancaster. And this movie is her ‘Unforgiven’.”
