In a huge turn of events, we’ve just learned from a source in Marvel Studios that Vincent D’Onofrio (‘Jurassic World’,’Men in Black’) is set to reprise his role as Wilson Fisk, better known as The Kingpin of Crime, in Marvel’s upcoming ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming!’ The character was first introduced in Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ and for the first time ever we’re seeing the cinematic side of Marvel finally take advantage of having such well-developed characters and bringing them into the fold.

One can only guess what that could mean for a possibility of ‘The Defenders’ showing up in ‘Avengers: Infinity War!’

Marvel is back on track with the notion that “It’s all connected” at long last by not only having Fisk show up in the film in some capacity but we’ll actually learn that he is the one who bankrolled Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes! It sounds as if his debt to Fisk combined with his anger at the cards which life has dealt him after Tony Stark’s Damage Control wins a contract to clean up after a super-hero battle is what turns him towards a life of crime.

What do you think of Marvel finally using a Netflix character in one of their films? Do you think this will open up The Avengers films to bring in The Defenders? Will this be something we’ll see on a day other than April 1st? Share your thoughts below True Believers!

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ will be swinging into theaters on July 7th, 2017 and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
