There hasn’t been much news about the second season of ‘Preacher‘ so far but today that all changes. We’ve just gotten confirmation of three big names who are joining the cast and a few others as well! The three faces you should recognize who have joined as series regulars are Noah Taylor (‘Game of Thrones’,’Deep Water’), Pip Torrens (‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,”The Crown,’) and Julie Ann Emery (‘Fargo,”Better Call Saul.’) In addition to this trio, we also see Malcolm Barrett (‘War on Everyone,”Dear White People’), Ronald Guttman (‘Homeland,”Mozart in the Jungle’) and Justin Prentice (’13 Reasons Why’,’Malibu Country’) joining the cast in recurring roles! That is at least six new faces to get used to.

Of course, the network couldn’t give us any pertinent information that might suggest which story arc the second season will follow by sharing who any of these new cast members are going to be portraying. The second season is still shrouded in mystery as they’ve been quiet on what direction the show will be going. Obviously, after that season finale, they needed to give us a few new faces as Dominic Cooper’s Jesse Custer is about to head out on a road trip with Ruth Negga’s Tulip and Joseph Gilgun’s Cassidy.

I doubt they’ll be coming across God at any point in the upcoming season, but I do suspect that a particular religious order might be popping up. Fans of the comic will know exactly who I’m thinking about there.

Are you looking forward to the return of AMC’s ‘Preacher’? Do you have any theories as to who any of these actors will be portraying? Share your thoughts below!
