x-men-prime-1The fallout from “Inhumans vs. X-Men” will be hitting us in ‘X-Men Prime‘ #1 and ‘Inhumans Prime‘ #1 and we’ve got new artwork that helps lay out the future of the X-Men franchise right here! The company had just shared a few details from the book and didn’t take long to give us a better idea of what to expect when the title is released later this month. The book not only will have to help wrap up some of the loose ends from the Inhuman and Mutant war but also lay the groundwork for ‘X-Men Gold’, ‘X-Men Blue’, and ‘Weapon X’!

In fact, these set of previews clearly show the best initial setup for ‘Weapon X’ to date without revealing any solid details of the book as we see Lady Deathstrike getting blown up and either captured or saved depending on your perspective. However, I suspect the woman in white doesn’t have Deathstrike’s best interests in mind.

Let’s take a look at the new pages below:

Some unfinished art, a shot of Illyana showing up to say hi to Kitty, the action-filled Weapon X lead-in that I mentioned above, and a spiffy danger room session to enjoy. There will be three tales in the book and each will be by the writer of the new series which it will be leading into. Marc Guggenheim start off with ‘X-Men Gold’ that shows Kitty Pride returning to lead the team. Cullen Bunn has the ‘X-Men Blue’ team in the Danger Room which will have “shocking results.” Finally, we see Greg Pak showing us what is happening with the new Weapon X program.

As a bonus, we also have variant covers by Elizabeth Torque, John Cassaday, and Kris Anka to enjoy below!

Which of the upcoming X-Men titles has most captured your interest so far? Do you like the variant covers that this issue is offering up? Share your thoughts below True Believers!

The future of mutant kind will be laid out in ‘X-Men Prime’ #1 which will be available at your local comic shops on March 29th, 2017!
