‘Big Hero 6’ may not have been as big a hit as ‘Frozen’ but this excellent and touching flick wowed audiences just the same, but since its 2014 release, there hasn’t been much buzz on a sequel or any other projects until last March, when Disney announced that it was adapting the movie to an ongoing animated series and that most of the voice cast from the film would be returning!

It’s been several months since that announcement, but at long last, the show is getting closer to reality.  Disney XD has released the first teaser, which unfortunately isn’t much and doesn’t even feature any footage from the series, but it does reiterate– in case you forgot– that Baymax is adorable!

Check it out for yourself:

The series picks up right after the events of the film, with Hiro attending San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.

Ryan Potter returns to voice main character Hiro Hamada along with Scott Adsit as Baymax.  The voices of the two female members of the team are also returning– Jamie Chung as Go Go Tomago and Genesis Rodriguez as Honey Lemon.  Unfortunately, the actors for the other two heroes were unavailable for the series, so Khary Payton (Cyborg on ‘Teen Titans GO!’ and King Ezekiel on ‘The Walking Dead’) steps in for Damon Wayans Jr. as Wasabi, while former ‘Saturday Night Live’ regular Brooks Wheelan replaces T.J. Miller as Fred.  Maya Rudolph, who voiced Hiro’s Aunt Cass in the movie is also due to return, as is Alan Tudyk as Allistair Krei.

Lead villain Obake will be voiced by Andrew Scott.  Additional voices are provided by Jennifer Lewis as Professor Granville, Andy Richter as Globby, Sean Giambrone as Richardson Mole, John Ross Bowie as Mei, Diedrich Bader as Bluff Dunder, Susan Sullivan as Fred’s mother, and Haley Tju as Karmi.

The fun kicks off this fall on Disney XD.  Are you excited?
