‘The Lego Movie’ debuts in two weeks but in anticipation, nine new video clips have been released to build excitement! The story features an ordinary guy/Minifigure named Emmet (Chris Pratt) who is believed to be “The Special” or “Master Builder.” He is recruited by Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks) and Vitruvious (Morgan Freeman) but he is being pursued by Bad Cop/Good Cop (Liam Neeson) who is employed by President Business (Will Ferrell). Along the way, the gang meets up with Batman (Will Arnett) who helps them to helpfully allow Emmet to achieve his destiny.
Oh that’s not all! The voice cast on this is truly all-star: Jonah Hill (Green Lantern), Channing Tatum (Superman), Cobie Smulders (Wonder Woman), Alison Brie (Uni-Kitty), Will Forte (Abraham Lincoln), Charlie Day (Spaceman Benny) and Nick Offerman (Craggy). In addition to the DC super heroes, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will make an appearance. Since the movie was produced by Dreamworks, none of the Disney properties that Lego manufactures toys for, appear, namely the Marvel superheroes, ‘Star Wars’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ and ‘The Lone Ranger’. (Not that anyone wants to see ‘The Lone Ranger’ in anything again.)
The film is directed by ‘Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs’ Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
