Three upcoming ‘The Walking Dead‘ episodes have now had titles and brief descriptions announced though fans of the comic can easily dig pretty far into them. These three are going to potentially mix things up a bit on every front though still not have us set directly on the path to Rick finding a way to put Negan in his place and regain leadership. Of course, the first steps on that journey might be being teased here.

I, of course, should mention that there are some major spoilers below!

First up will be the sixth episode titled “Swear” which is described as:

Someone stumbles upon a brand new society, and this society is unlike anything seen before.

While this could be a hint at an extremely early introduction to Oceanside which isn’t due for another season or two, it is likely going to be that Rick Grimes or one of his closest allies wanders into The Kingdom and meets Ezekiel.

Next up is one that will truly stand out and is titled “Sing Me A Song”. It is described as:

A deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviors; members of Alexandria look for supplies.

In the comics, this seems reminiscent of when Carl sneaks into Sanctuary and ends up being caught by Negan who gives him a tour and forces him to take off his bandages and sing a song. It really seems that Daryl is filling in for Carl for AMC’s version so we might see Daryl being forced to sing.

I’m not quite sure if it’ll have the same impact as Carl, though.

Finally, “Hearts Still Beating” is the episode I am most looking forward to in the next few as:

Negan’s unwelcome visit to Alexandria continues as other members scavenge for supplies; things quickly spin out of control.

In the comics, Negan’s surprise visit to Alexandria is when Rick is away. In it, Spencer makes good on his hatred for Rick and tries to sell him out though things don’t quite work out for him. If the spoiler message above didn’t scare you off I’ll warn you one last time to head back if you want to be surprised at what happens.

Personally, I’ve wanted Spencer to die for awhile now and this is the place where it happens. I’m wondering if Negan will use almost the exact same conversation when he talks to Rick after he finds out what happens.
