While the Marvel Cinematic Universe always seems to have a major presence at every huge convention around the country, it seems pretty clear cut that Marvel Studios brings their A game to SDCC while Marvel Television shines at NYCC. After all, it was in the hallowed halls of the Javits Center in 2012 where Kevin Feige, Jeph Loeb, and Joss Whedon announced that Clark Gregg would reprise his role as Agent Phil Coulson in the show that would come to be known as ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘ despite what happened in ‘The Avengers’ earlier that summer. Now that the show is in their fourth season, they continue to come back to the Big Apple and have as much fun with the True Believers as they possibly can. And this year was no different as the stars ventured out into the masses to get into a little mischief.

Before answering a few questions and showing off the latest episode to the fans in attendance at their NYCC panel over the weekend, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ cast members Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet, and Gabriel Luna went undercover by dressing up as some Marvel Heroes and walked around the convention floor. Disguised as Rocket Raccoon, Star-Lord, and the Johnny Blaze version of Ghost Rider, the trio approached unsuspecting convention goers to find out their thoughts about their favorite Marvel TV shows. Check out the video below to watch the hilarity ensue:

Other fun moments from the panel include various one-liners from the cast. For instance, when Gregg mentioned FitzSimmons, he said that “when they kiss, a nerdy angel gets their wings”. On casting Luna as Robbie Reyes, the former Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. mentioned that “the guy with the flaming head seems like someone that you would swipe in the appropriate direction”. And finally, while talking about Daisy Johnson’s new status quo in the new season (and after exclaiming that she’s a “Cumberbitch” AKA a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch), Bennet expressed her desire for her character to continue getting a new name each season. “I think that we should just keep going,” the actress said about Skye AKA Daisy AKA Quake.

As you can see, it’s never a dull moment with ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ at New York Comic Con. But what do you think of the new season so far? Are you enjoying the new take on Ghost Rider? What about Phil Coulson returning to active duty as an agent? Let us know in the comments.

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ starring Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Henry Simmons airs on Tuesdays at 10:00pm on ABC.
