batman: return of the caped crusaders

Just like ‘Batman: The Killing Joke‘, DC and Fathom Events have teamed up once again to give us a 1 day theatrical run of ‘Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders‘. This seems to be a new trend for DC’s animated movies and while it is hard to tell if they will only do this for Batman films or all of DC’s animated universe, come October 10th you’ll have a chance to see a call back to a simpler time in Batman’s world in animated form.

This release is set for a few days after the world premiere at New York’s Comic-Con and one day before you can check it out on Video on Demand. The show will have 3 showings on the day of release at 2pm, 7:30pm, and 10pm, all local time zones.

I’m not going to lie, I might take a half day to check out that 2pm showing.

The full theater breakdown is below:

Synopsis:

It’s back to the 1960s as Batman and Robin spring into action when Gotham City is threatened by a quartet of Batman’s most fiendish foes – Penguin, The Joker, Riddler, and Catwoman. The four Super-Villains have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City. It’s a truly fantastic adventure that will pit good against evil, good against good, evil against evil … and feature two words that exponentially raise the stakes for both sides: Replicator Ray. Holy Multiplication Tables!

Holy technology folks, you can view ‘Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders’ on Digital HD on October 11th, 2016 or own it on Blu-Ray November 1st, 2016! It will also be on the big screen on October 10th, 2016!
