When ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘ debuts in theaters next year, the God of Thunder will have many threats to contend with. Luckily, he’ll have a number of allies to back him up such as Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. But new reports have surfaced that indicate that the Asgardian may go beyond the nine realms and onto another plane to seek the sufficient help that he needs.
Earlier this week, director Taika Waititi tweeted a “spoiler” that Chris Hemsworth would be appearing in his upcoming Phase Three film. While that was clearly in jest, the filmmaker also retweeted some behind the scenes photos that showed the star alongside himself and Tom Hiddleston. However, these seemingly harmless photos from the Brisbane set may have revealed a possible crossover between ‘Ragnarok’ and ‘Doctor Strange’. First, check out the original tweet:

Though it may look like Thor is simply holding business card, things get much more interesting when you zoom in closer. As you can see in the picture below from the Facebook page Marvel Cinematic Universe, the card has “177A Bleecker St.” written on it. True Believers will recognize this as the address of Doctor Stephen Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum:
Does this mean that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme will cross paths with the Thunderer? Not necessarily. This could just be an Easter egg contained in the movie as something that could come in handy later in another movie like ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. After all, why would Marvel Studios spoil something like that while shooting in a very public space where people are sure to have cameras that could pick up on this detail? But then again, you never know who could pop up in one of these movies or TV shows since they all exist within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Do you think that Doctor Strange will appear in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ to fight alongside Odinson and Bruce Banner? Or do you think that this is just a nod to the character’s existence that may result in a team-up down the road? Share your thoughts and theories in the comments.
‘Thor: Ragnarok’ starring Chris Hemsworth, Karl Urban, Jeff Goldblum, Cate Blanchard, Tessa Thompson, Jamie Alexander, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, and Mark Ruffalo strikes theaters on November 3, 2017.
