Legends of the Hidden Temple

Fans of 90s nostalgia certainly have a lot to look forward to movie-wise, as we are already getting that new ‘Power Rangers‘ movie, but now it seems, there is another property being brought back, but in a very new form. The 90s Nickelodeon TV show ‘Legends of the Hidden Temple‘ is getting its own movie now, (TV movie to be clear) and from the looks of the new trailer below, they are definitely doing right by the old property. Unlike in the original show, though, the temple is not part of some elaborate contest, but is rather an actual temple that the stars of the film have to escape from, solving the various puzzles and overcoming traps to get there. The trailer is chalk full of references to the original show, including an actual green monkey, the Olmac statue, the baffling Silver monkey statue, even the original host makes an appearance as a tour guide.

Synopsis below:

The Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie follows three siblings who break away from a lackluster tour in a jungle, finding themselves immersed in a high-stakes adventure comprised of obstacles that they must complete in order to escape alive. The TV movie will feature many elements from the original game show including: Olmec, a talking head who greets cast members Noah, Sadie and Dudley, and launches them on the adventure of a lifetime; The Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and appearances from a green monkey, red jaguar, and silver snakes, among others.
