Marvel Studios had a big weekend at San Diego Comic-Con this year. During their Hall H presentation, True Believers saw the progress of films like ‘Doctor Strange’, ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’, and more. We even learned that Brie Larson would be starring in ‘Captain Marvel’. With all of this currently in play, we now have the gears turning on over half of Phase Three. But beyond the currently untitled follow-up to ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ planned for 2019, just how much further does Kevin Feige and his team have planned out? The studio president recently discussed that very matter.

As we’ve come to know over the past few years, Marvel Studios are always thinking ahead. But with so much of Phase Three to complete at this point of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, how much further into the future could the team be looking? In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Feige revealed that they have plans for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes that roughly stretch out six years past the conclusion of Phase Three:

“We always look at a horizon line that’s usually about five years off. Sometimes, even that is sort of a pipe dream, sometimes it even goes beyond that. That’s usually what we’re looking at. Right now, we know through and have announced through 2019. We have ideas and pretty firm of where we’re going in 2020. 2021, which still sounds like the crazy, far fetched future to me, but 2021 is still in flux through 2025.”

By the sounds of things, it seems like Feige and company have at least the first few Phase Four in mind already. One of them has to be ‘Inhumans’ considering that was originally on the schedule for Phase Three. Then depending on how the new additions to the MCU perform, sequels featuring heroes like Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man could be in the books as well. But beyond that, your guess is as good as mine regarding what other films we’ll be seeing from the House of Ideas in the next decade.

What films do you think Marvel Studios has planned beyond 2019? And how likely do you think it is that Black Widow or Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk finally get their own movies? Share your thoughts and theories in the comments below.
